Sandy Asher is the author of 25 books for young readers, including the award-winning TOO MANY FROGS! and her latest picture book, CHICKEN STORY TIME. She’s also the editor of five anthologies, among them WITH ALL MY HEART, WITH ALL MY MIND, winner of the National Jewish Book Award in children’s literature, and WRITING IT RIGHT! HOW SUCCESSFUL CHILDREN’S AUTHORS REVISE AND SELL THEIR STORIES. As “Sandra Fenichel Asher,” she’s written over three dozen plays for young and adult audiences, produced all over the world, and is a recipient of the AATE Charlotte Chorpenning Award for a distinguished body of work. Sandy has visited schools, libraries, and conferences, and taught writing workshops for all ages from Anchorage, Alaska, to St. Petersburg, Florida.

Marlo Berliner is an Associate Agent at the Jennifer De Chiara Literary Agency.  She is interested in ALL genres of MG and YA fiction. Some favorite sub-genres are adventure, contemporary, fantasy, psychological thriller, suspense, mystery, paranormal, urban fantasy, horror, speculative, and romance. She enjoys magic, magical realism, unusual settings, pirates, dark elements, gothic tone, secrets or secretive characters, treasure hunts, and unreliable narrators. Also, if you can take a story or intellectual property (in TV or books) that is popular with the adult crowd and give it as MG or YA version, then she will give it a look because she believes these types of stories may have strong potential for the market. Stories told by #ownvoices, and stories with diverse characters of all kinds, including neuro-diverse and LGBTQIA+ are all welcomed. Also coming-of-age stories set in college that walk the line between upper YA and NA.

Melissa Edwards joined Stonesong as a literary agent in August 2016. Previously, she was a literary agent at the Aaron Priest Literary Agency, where she managed the foreign rights for a 40-year backlist. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis and Vanderbilt Law School, Melissa began her career as a litigation attorney before transitioning into publishing. She is a tireless advocate for her clients and a constant partner during the publication process and beyond.

Melissa represents authors of children’s fiction, adult commercial fiction, and select pop-culture nonfiction. She is looking for warm and timeless middle grade fiction and accessible young adult fiction. For adults, she is looking for fast-paced thrillers and smart women’s fiction. Melissa also acts as a contract consultant for authors and agents under the business MLE ConsultingShe can be found on Twitter @MelissaLaurenE, where she often tweets her active Manuscript Wishlist requests under #MSWL.
