Registration is now full. If you’d like to be put on a waiting list,     please email epa-ic@scbwi.org

Every year Illustrator Day is special and 2019 is no exception! Come to hear presentations by Caldecott Honor winning illustrator Lauren Castillo, much-loved art director Patrick Collins and highly sought after agent Erica Rand Silverman. New in 2019, we’ve invited an editor–Samantha Gentry, Little Brown, because we know illustrators are storytellers! Whether you’re published or just joined SCBWI, you don’t want to miss our annual event for illustrators.

Pick your level of commitment when you register. Join us for the faculty presentations and spend the day networking with area illustrators. Bring your portfolio to display in the Illustrator Showcase for our faculty and attendees to view. Or, go a step further and register for the Art Director Assignment to receive feedback on your work from Patrick Collins! Need more? Register for a one-on-one portfolio, dummy or manuscript critique with a publishing professional. Author-illustrator Lauren Castillo, creative director Patrick Collins, editor Samantha Gentry and agent Erica Rand Silverman are excited to meet our illustrators and help you take your art, stories and career to the next level!

To take advantage of these opportunities, you need to register. Registration opens July 23rd!

Click on the sidebar links (on your screen top right–next to the map) to learn more about our faculty, the day’s agenda, and submissions for the Art Director Assignment.

Scholarship Information: This year we will offer one scholarship that will cover the cost of event registration. Additional expenses, including registration for the Art Director Assignment and one-on-one critiques and transportation to/from the event, are not included. Any current EPA SCBWI member may apply. To apply, please send an email to epa-ic@scbwi.org by July 23rd with a link to a website that has examples of your illustrations and an explanation why you’re applying for the scholarship. The scholarship winner will be asked to arrive at the event at 8 AM and stay until 6 PM to assist with set-up and clean-up. Please email questions to the illustrator coordinator at epa-ic@scbwi.org. Don’t forget the 7/23 deadline!
