CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Pocono Retreat 2020


Interested in presenting at the 28th Annual SCBWI Pocono Mountain Retreat?

held at The Barn at Boyds Mills

April 17 – 19, 2020

Our Eastern PA team of volunteers are once again looking for EPA members to lead sessions at this year’s event.  The sessions are for single presenters (unless willing to split the stipend with co-presenters.) We welcome proposals from published and/or pre-published authors, illustrators, or author/illustrators. Member led sessions will take place on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. These sessions will be 50-minutes in length, with access to technology.

Deadline: Friday, February 15, 2020

Proposals received after this time will be deleted.


The theme this year is “TOGETHER WE CAN“.

As a creator of children’s book content, how do you interpret our theme?

We will accept 6 total sessions for the 2020 event.

Your EPA Volunteer Team will respond to all applicants by February 25, 2020. If your program is selected, we will cover the cost of your tuition to the 2020 Pocono Retreat, with an additional $100 stipend. You are responsible for booking your lodging and meal plan with Jo Lloyd at the Highlights Foundation. You will have the opportunity to sign books at the event.
